I am sure as learner drivers, they will have a lot of burning questions to ask their Singapore private driving instructor. It is normal to be curious and get excited to try to know everything about driving and the process of the driving lessons. This excitement is probably fueled by the excitement of getting the Singapore driving license.
I have seen some of the questions learner drivers asked through online forums or during real-time discussions. Thus, I compiled a Q & A for them. Below are some of the frequently asked questions for the Singapore driving instructors.
1. How long do I have to wait before I can get my driving license?
Answer: If you already passed your Final Theory Test, you could expect to get your driving license in about 2 months from your first driving lesson. Attend 2 to 3 lessons a week, and by the end of 2 months, you will have completed 16 to 24 driving lessons which are the average number of lessons learner drivers take before they attempt their driving test.
2. How long is one driving lesson?
One driving lesson with the private driving instructors is usually 1 and a half hours. However, some instructors don’t mind teaching the learner drivers for an hour or 2 hours on the learner driver’s request.
3. How should I dress for the driving lesson?
Learner drivers should dress comfortably for the driving lesson to enable them to perform at their best. One thing to take note though, is that learner drivers should avoid wearing slippers but instead, wear proper shoes to the driving lessons. Shoes will provide a better grip and handling for the pedals.
4. How often should I look into the rear mirror?
Drivers should look into their rear mirrors frequently. Checking them once every 5 to 10 seconds is a good habit. Not checking the rear mirrors frequently can cost the learner drivers demerit points during the driving test.
